This course aims to equip you with a thorough understanding of the industry-standard techniques and safety protocols related to squibs and blanks as well as their interaction with stunts. You'll gain practical knowledge about squibs when applied to humans, glass, and metal, accompanied by a meticulous explanation of the application and safety of these elements in a film set.
The workshop also offers practical exposure to reinforce your understanding. Under controlled and safe conditions, you'll have the opportunity to experience jumping through prop windows, experience the feeling of a squib, and get hands-on experience with various special effects tools.
The workshop is conducted by Brian Smyj, a seasoned stunt coordinator with decades of experience in TV and FILM. His insights, along with KFX's expertise in special effects, will give you a comprehensive view of the industry's processes and practices.
